Saint Augustine, also known as the nation’s oldest city, is filled with history, shopping, and great food you can not miss out on! This beautiful city is located just 36 miles south of Jacksonville and 50 miles north of Daytona Beach. If you’re looking for some good coffee and some gorgeous scenery, stop by The Kookaburra. Located right in the center of downtown and only 4 miles from the courthouse. The Kookaburra is the perfect opportunity to step away, grab a coffee, and take a stroll down St. George Street where you will find many more shops and restaurants.
After a long day of preparing for a trial – scanning – copies – trial binders – nothing like some good food and a drink at Scarlett O’hara’s on the famous outdoor porch that overlooks Hypolita street. Just around the corner, you can take a step back in time to the prohibition era at Prohibition Kitchen where you can enjoy live music, food and drinks.
If you want to hit some good tourist spots, you can take a trolly tour around town and visit some of the best spots in town. You can visit the Potter’s Wax Museum, Castillo de San Marcos, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Tolomato Cemetery, and many more! Lastly don’t forget the beach is only a few miles from downtown. Reward yourself and take a stroll on the Vilano beach to Porpoise Point to watch the sunset after a day in court.
